When to change your air filter

Staying up to date on your vehicle maintenance will prolong the life of your vehicle!  Here in Arizona we have some unique environmental situations that can wreak havoc on our vehicles.  Spring is the perfect time to get your car, truck or SUV ready for the Summer, starting with your engine air filter.

The way an engine functions can be easily compared to our own bodies.  Both need fuel, oxygen, and "healthcare".  Much like we don't get very far holding our breath, an engine needs a constant high volume flow of oxygen to "breathe" and to assist with the internal combustion that drives the crank.  We live in a dusty state and in the Spring there is a lot of pollen in the air as well.  This clogs up our air filter (and cabin filter) reducing the flow of clean air.  This affects our fuel economy in a negative way by starving the engine of the necessary volume of air needed to perform optimally.  Air filters should be changed at least once a year and especially before Sand Storm Season which can clog your filter to a critical level...

Additionally, dry desert weather takes a toll on rubber materials like hoses, seals and weather stripping which can lead to much more expensive repairs.  We have a full service department that can make sure your car is maintained properly and ready for the seasons.  We also offer window tinting services to keep your car interior cooler and safe from harmful UV rays.  Schedule an appointment on our website, through Facebook, or the old fashioned way... With a phone call ;-)

We look forward to hearing from you!
