Support Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

If you’re not aware, September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. For more than 25 years, CureSearch has been a leader in funding children's cancer research. However, only 4 percent of Government funding is dedicated to children’s cancer research. Although there’s only a couple days left in September, we want to reach out and ask for you to help us raise awareness and save lives. Continue reading to learn how you can help!

1: Update Your Profile Picture

To let others know you support the cause, update your profile picture with a gold ribbon.

2: Share Your Own Cancer Story

Cancer has affected one out of every three families, and numbers are projected to increase over the next ten years. We ask that you share a photo and a story of a cancer superhero that has impacted your life. It doesn’t matter if it’s your friend or family, we just want to hear your story.

3: Use the Hashtag

After your share your photo and story, make sure to attach the hashtag #MyCancerSuperhero. This will link anyone from a selfless caretaker to a child cancer fighter whose bravery inspires you.

4: Participate in Events

If you just Google “End Cancer Events”, you will descover multiple events happening in your area. Attend these events when you can, we are all apart of the same cause. You can even create your own fundraising event, click here to learn how.

5: Donate If Possible  

In the last 20 years, Childhood Cancer has been the #1 disease killer of children. Also within that span of time, there has only been three cancer treatments specifically developed and approved for children. This means most children are treated with dose-adjusted adult treatments and that most survivors experience devastating side effects of their too-toxic treatments.

CureSearch’s goal is to protect the future children who become diagnosed with cancer by delivering better, less toxic treatments. To do that, they need as much financial help as possible. Make a difference by donating today.
