The Electric Vehicle market is expanding big time! As a result, it can be hard to keep track of which ones are the most appealing, and which ones you should consider. Here at LeSueur Car Company, we want to help out car shoppers that are especially concerned with range! With this in mind, we've come up with the top five electric vehicles that offer the longest ranges and deliver the most miles between charges.
The Tesla Model S offers the longest range of all electric vehicles. While the base-level Model S 60 comes up short, the top-level Model S P100D offers an amazing 315 miles of fully electric range.
Like its Model S sibling, the Tesla Model X also offers excellent range. The base-level 75D model will go 237 miles between charges, while the top-end 100D and P100D can top 290 total miles.
Although the Chevy Bolt offers Tesla-like range, it doesn't come with Tesla-like prices. The Bolt has an amazing 238 miles of range and a starting price of just $37,500 with shipping, which is less than half the price of a Model S or a Model X.
The Volkswagen e-Golf can travel 125 miles between charges. That makes it fourth-best among EVs, just edging out the new Hyundai Ioniq. Pricing is reasonable, too, as the e-Golf starts from around $30,000.
The all-new 2017 Hyundai Ioniq is available in three forms: hybrid, plug-in hybrid and fully electric. The fully electric model has an EPA-estimated range of 124 miles, which places it near the top among electric vehicles -- and it's priced from just $30,500, which makes it competitive with the Volkswagen e-Golf and a lot cheaper than the new Chevy Bolt.
