The Q5 is tauter and sleeker than its bigger sibling, demonstrating a more athletic stance and sculpted appearance. Comfort

Overall comfort is amazing! Each chair is adjustable and supplies supportive cushioning and good support.

Between the seats, a cushioned center console armrest adjusts for height and also slides forward and back. This is a relatively simple detail, yet it contributes significantly to overall comfort levels.

Thanks to an expansion in terms of space, the new Q5’s rear seats are more accommodating than the previous version, and tall adults can sit comfortably with enough foot and legroom. 

Each passenger can manage their own climate control zones. All seats have a heated option and they all recline as well.

Everything shown on the 12.3-inch display is virtual! You can also make it custom to your preferences. For instance, you can change the display’s theme and can also minimize the tachometer and speedometer to maximize what’s shown in the center of the display, theater-style. 

If you're a big fan of tangible items, the designers of the Audi Q5 thought of you! As an ode to the past, there are eight preset buttons lining the top of the touchpad that allows you to set your favorite radio stations. 

Technology

The Q5 is equipped with standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone projection, and subscription-based Audi Connect service provides access to a Wi-Fi hotspot.

Audi Connect also offers automatic collision notification and SOS emergency calling, real-time traffic reports, assistance with finding open parking spaces, vehicle speed and curfew alerts for parents with teenaged drivers in the household, a car-finding function, Google voice search and much more. 

Safety

In addition to Audi Connect’s safety-related functions, the new Q5 is stuffed with all manner of driver assistance and collision avoidance features. It even offers semi-autonomous operation under specific driving conditions! 

The Driver Assistance Package includes an adaptive cruise control system with traffic jam assist, which follows and mimics what other vehicles are dong, up to 40 mph. The system stops the Q5, holds it in place, and accelerates again once traffic is moving. 

That same option package also includes Active Lane Assist, which actively prevents departure from the intended lane of travel. You can allow it to steer into curves, but eventually the system warns the driver that he or she must hold the steering wheel.

The Pre-Sense technology can also prepares the SUV for impact if it detects an imminent threat of a collision! 

Ride and Handling

Take our Q5 for a test drive, and you'll see how smooth she rides! This vehicle does a terrific job of managing its weight around corners. The steering is light but precise and direct, and the brakes are easy to maneuver.
